ParenteAI Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how of Parente.AI, Corp. (“we”, “us”, or “our”)   collects, uses, shares, and protects “consumer health data” as defined under applicable U.S. state laws, and the privacy rights and choices you have with respect to such data, in connection with our websites, online services, products and services (collectively, our “Services”). 

This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy supplements our Privacy Policy. As with our Privacy Policy, this Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy does not apply to our handling of information that we process on behalf of our customers, which include health systems and individual mental health providers who have a relationship with you. If your account is connected with your healthcare provider’s dashboard, our processing of that information, even if it would otherwise be consumer health data, is governed by the agreements we have with your healthcare provider.

  1. Categories of Consumer Health Data We Collect

    We collect the following categories of consumer health data:

    • Information about your health conditions, treatment, diseases, or diagnosis, treatment, or medication: such as information about mental health history, symptoms and/or treatment, medications you may be taking, or other health-related information related to you or your immediate family members (e.g. your partner and your child/children for whom you are using the Services in relation to).

    • Information that identifies your seeking of health care services: such as information about interest in therapy or other health care services that interest you or your immediate family members.

    • Health information that is derived or inferred from non-health data: such as inferences about your mental health and derived from your general inputs to our Services.
     

  2. Categories of Sources of Consumer Health Data

    We collect consumer health data directly from you, when you choose to provide such information in connection with these activities:

    • Interact with our conversational Services that are designed to understand your personal circumstances to provide tailored responses.

    • Contact us for support, questions or feedback on one of our Services.

    • Choose to participate in one of our product research studies or those of our research partners, respond to our surveys, or leave a review on our Services.
     

  3. Purposes For Which We Collect And Use Consumer Health Data

    We collect and use consumer health data as provided below:

    • To provide you with the products and services you have requested, including to communicate with you, tailor responses, and to respond to your questions or requests for support.

    • For research and development, including to analyze and improve our Services and our business. As part of these activities, we may create aggregated, de-identified, or other anonymous data from consumer health data we collect. 

    • For compliance and protection, including to comply with legal obligations, defend against legal claims or disputes, protect the security and integrity of our Services, and identify and investigate fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical, or illegal activity.

    • At your direction or with your consent, if you choose to provide consumer health data to us for any other purpose, as disclosed at the time you provide such information.
     

  4. Disclosures of Consumer Health Data

    We may disclose the categories of consumer health data described above to:

    • Research Partners. Universities, labs, and other research institutions that partner with us to improve our products and advance basic science (which we collectively call “research partners”). By default, we do not share your personal information with research partners. When we do share information with research partners, we will either first anonymize such information so it cannot be used to identify you or, in the case of personal information, we will first present you with that research partner’s form of informed consent, which will define the scope of personal information you are directing us to share and the purposes for which the research partner may use such information. Where we have shared your personal information with a research partner under an informed consent, we will provide you with contact information for the research partner who will be responsible for processing your requests related to the personal information we have shared with them.

     Service providers. Companies and individuals that provide services on our behalf or help us operate the Services or our business (such as hosting, information technology, customer support, email delivery, and analytics services). We may also disclose your personal information to third-party providers of AI technologies, who will use your personal information strictly to support our Service. We do not permit such third-party providers of AI technologies to use your personal information to develop, improve, train, or provide their AI technologies for the benefit of their other customers.

    • Professional advisors. Professional advisors, such as lawyers, auditors, bankers, and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services that they render to us.

    • Authorities and others. Law enforcement, government authorities, and private parties, as we believe in good faith to be necessary or appropriate for the compliance and protection purposes described above.

    • Business transferees. Acquirers and other relevant participants in business transactions (or negotiations for such transactions) involving a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization, sale or other disposition of all or any portion of the business or assets of, or equity interests in, our business (including, in connection with a bankruptcy or similar proceedings).

    • Other third parties, where applicable, at your direction or with your consent.
     

  5. Your Rights

    Depending on your location, you may request the following in relation to your consumer health data:

    • Confirm whether we are collecting, sharing, or selling your consumer health data, and to access your consumer health data.

    • Delete your consumer health data.

    • Withdraw your consent from our collection or sharing of your consumer health data.

    How to submit requests. To request access or deletion of your consumer health data, please contact us at privacy@parente.ai. You are entitled to exercise the rights described above free from discrimination.

    Appeal. If your request to exercise a right under consumer health data privacy laws is denied you may appeal that decision by emailing us at privacy@parente.ai. If your appeal is unsuccessful, you can raise a concern or lodge a complaint with competent regulators.
     

  6. Changes to This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

    We reserve the right to modify this Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes to this Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, we will notify you by updating the date of this Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy and posting it on our websites and online services. 

    If required by law we will also provide notification of changes in another way that we believe is reasonably likely to reach you, such as via email or another manner through our Services. Any modifications to this Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy will be effective upon our posting the modified version (or as otherwise indicated at the time of posting). In all cases, your use of our Services after the effective date of any modified Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy indicates your acceptance of the modified Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
